Your Invitation to Practice Solitude and Prayer

Your Invitation to Practice Solitude and Prayer

I recently completed an online course on Solitude.

At the end, we were invited to do an extended Solitude retreat.

Besides Solitude retreats. solitude breaks can be woven into life in the morning or evening.

Special times can be done at a park, chapel, monastery, retreat center, or backyard.

It can last many minutes, a few hours, a day, or a few days.

The challenge is to make it a time and place to just be with God in silence and stillness.

The lessons said often, when we stop our mind will wander.

We are not trained to sit still like those in India.

Instead, we are used to making it normal to intake words, music, and more.

I intend to set aside 3 hours this Saturday for my Solitude retreat.

I will take with me a printed Bible so that I do not get tempted by an online Bible.

I will take a blank journal that I got from Amazon.

I have been using various blank journals from Amazon for topics.

The separate topical journals include gratitude, vision for the future, and answered prayers.

I will take the following printed prayers.

I will pray them as written.

And I will use them to inspire other prayers.

I offer these printed prayers that have blessed me and others.

You can use them for your Solitude retreat and any other time.

I invite you to share them with others.

See the attachments.

If you have trouble getting them to open for you then let me know.

I will work out another way to share them.

A Morning Prayer is one of the many prayers I wrote while living in a homeless shelter.

Of all of those, this is the one people like most.
